Outline
A Stroud District Council property in Frampton on Severn had an existing oil boiler that after 18 years had come to the end of its life. The tenant occupying the property was elderly and was struggling with the ever rising fuel costs that are associated with operating an oil boiler.
Solution
GSM were asked to survey the property and proposed the solution of upgrading the existing radiators to more efficient K2 type and installing an 11kW high temperature Daikin heat pump. The high temperature heat pump acted as a direct replacement for the oil boiler and allowed us to reuse the existing domestic hot water cylinder.
We also reused the existing controls to make life simpler for the tenant.
“The radiators are piping hot, the house is warmer than its ever been and I’ve got rid of that horrible looking oil tank!”
