Could the EU scrap the 5% VAT Rate on Renewable Solutions?

An ongoing legal battle looks to be ready to take place between the EU and the UK over the current 5%VAT rate on renewable solutions.

Whilst totally conflicting with the desire to lower the UK’s emissions it would appear the EU have a different plan to the rest of us.
