Power to the Pupils – Schools to get renewable energy grant

In recent news the government have announced England’s educational institutions will share in the £500 million fund towards improvements in energy efficiency. This funding will help schools and institutions properly manage their energy consumption while minimizing their winter energy costs.

Not only will this programme save money, but it will also improve these institutions’ cold-weather energy efficiency and raise their winter resilience in the long run.

A primary school can expect receiving roughly £16,000, a secondary school can expect receiving £42,000, and a further education college can anticipate receiving almost $290,000. These funds can be used to carry out a number of improvements, including adding insulation to reduce heat loss from pipes, installing improved heating controls, or switching to energy-efficient lighting.
