GSM Limited are delighted that we were chosen to install Air Conditioning into The Palace Cinema in Cinderford. The cinema originally built in 1910 is a fantastic example of the old age cinemas. Having closed in 1966 and supposedly superseded by the new modern cinemas, The Palace reopened in 2001 and since the new owners Andy and Karen Lougher took over in 2005 the success has been growing ever since, drawing in thousands of cinema goers keen to experience a truly wonderful occasion.
Having met with Andy and discussed the needs of the cinema, it was critical to be able to provide both heating and cooling at the appropriate times to further bring more comfort to their customers. The advent of ensuing a comfortable environment means that more and more customers will keep on returning to this fantastic venue.
In view of the opening times of the Cinema, GSM worked with Andy to ensure that access was obtained for our engineers to get on site and thereby not interrupt any of the film screenings. With the work completed within two weeks it has been a godsend for Andy and his customers to watch the latest movies in comfort.

Originally built in 1910, The Palace is one of the oldest purpose built cinemas still operating in Britain.
Today the cinema has two screens with 170 and 101 seats.
Both Screens 1 and 2 are equipped with Dolby Digital Cinema Projectors with surround sound and infra red hearing assistance, audio description and subtitling facilities and both screens have a number of double ‘sofa’ seats.
We serve a large selection of confectionary, popcorn and soft drinks, as well as freshly ground Tchibo coffee, hot chocolate and various teas which can be enjoyed in our Rendez-vous Cafe/Lounge or taken into the screens.
