GSM Limited have been established for over thirty years and our expertise in heating, cooling and ventilation married with our abilities to be creative and innovative has led us to being selected to complete a bespoke climate controlled system for Vinotheque, a privately owned wine storage company based in Burton-upon-Trent.
Vinotheque needed GSM to provide a bespoke climate controlled system with 24 hour temperature and humidity monitoring. The old bonded Vinotheque building stores multi – million pounds worth of the world’s finest wine and is split over three floors.
The most pressing requirement of the client is that the sheer value of the wine stored there needs to be stored at a constant temperature to preserve it. GSM’s approach was to provide and install 6 Reznor Air Handling Units (AHU’s) linked to a modified Mitsubishi VRF system to run at a lower operating temperature giving the client the closer control they were looking for.
The conditioned air was distributed via 6 90 metre long air socks located within the corridors spanning the length of the building. The system was monitored via remote monitoring system installed by Monika connecting into the clients existing network. The monitoring system provided the client with a real time 24 hour temperature and humidity data of the system, thereby providing exactly what they needed and protecting their valuable wine stocks.
GSM Limited is naturally delighted to have been involved in such a challenging project where the total cost of project exceeded £300,000.00.
