Solar Panel Incentives Review – Update

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has published an update in relation to their ongoing review of the cost of controlling renewable energy. Media speculation has been rife as predicted and at this moment the review is in the consultative stages. The review is available for customers to read here:

The general synopsis is that the review will focus on pre-registration schemes and grandfathering on Biomass schemes which looks at securing a higher rate prior to the installation and commissioning of the system, for example when planning is required. As an active renewables business, GSM Limited are and have been consulting appropriately with our industry body to pass on constructive comments to the Secretary of State.
